Australia’s leading Railway Signalling and Control Specialist is expanding. Westinghouse Rail Systems Australia is seeking a motivated and talented Technical Officer – Trackside Systems to join our South Melbourne based trackside program team.

The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support to the manager and trackside team on projects within the trackside system program involving equipment development and trials requiring lab and field works that support these trials.

As the Technical Officer you will be required to assist with the bids and proposals in addition to low level interface tasks between multiple teams.

The successful candidates will have:

• Trade or post trade qualifications or any other engineering qualifications

• Basic electrical skills including the ability to read simple circuits and perform simple wiring tasks

• The ability to use hand tools

• An understanding of railway signalling will be considered advantageous

• The ability to work unsupervised with a proactive approach

• Highly developed MS Office skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
