Australia's leading Railway Signalling and Control Specialists are expanding, and we are seeking a Project Assistant for the WA Project Delivery team with Westinghouse Rail Systems Australia, located at our Burswood, Perth office.

What will your key responsibilities be?

• Contribute and progress with Bill of Materials procurement, progressing and reporting procedures;

• Assist project staff with the day to day running of the projects;

• Filing, ordering and procurement;

• Obtaining quotations for equipment & services from suppliers with best possible prices for project;

• Some site work involved;

• Expediting suppliers to ensure on time delivery of project orders;

• Maintenance of projects order and equipment registers;

• Organising & supervising the packing of containers in preparation for international shipping;

• Creation and maintenance of documentation for international shipping;

• Packing of small shipments in preparation for international air freight;

• Creation and maintenance of documentation for international air freight shipment;

• Other duties pertaining to the projects as directed.

Essential Requirements:

• Familiarity with Microsoft packages (especially Excel and Word);

• Full WA Drivers License;

• Willingness to perform some manual labour.

Desirable:

• Experience with MS Access;

• Administrative experience.

Other Skills:

• Good written and verbal communication;

• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment;

• Ability to work with minimal supervision;

• Attention to detail;

• Good organisational and planning skills;

• Willingness to learn and ask questions;

• Self motivated.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of year 12 or technical/trade training.
