Westinghouse Rail Systems Australia, a leading railway signalling and control systems specialist is seeking an experienced and talented Systems Engineer to join our South Melbourne based team.
Our Systems Engineers are involved in the design, development, configuration and integration of systems, hardware, drivers and software. In addition to providing assistance to senior engineers with system setup, design, testing and reporting. Further there is the opportunity to be involved in commissioning activities, which can include travel both interstate and overseas sites when required.
In particular we are looking for a hardworking individual who has experience designing HMI displays, building and configuring hardware and who has worked in a Unix/Linux environment.
Our ideal candidate will already have experience in a systems engineer position or recently graduated from studying in a related field.
The person we have in mind will have excellent written and verbal communication skills which will assist them to work efficiently in a team environment. Your willingness to learn and ask questions will be essential to pick up our systems quickly. Your technical ability, combined with your strong attention to detail will keep you self motivated in this busy and challenging position.
