Westinghouse Rail Systems Australia is Australia's leading railway signalling and control specialist in the design, supply and installation of turnkey projects and comprehensive railway management systems. We are currently looking for Railway Signalling Design Engineers to join our rapidly expanding project teams in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidates will be involved in production and/or independent checking of interlocking and trackside designs have proven experience in design and be competent in the following:
Essential
• Experienced at production of interlocking and trackside designs.
• Good knowledge of Railway signalling engineering principles and practices, rules and regulations for the safe operation of railway traffic.
• Knowledge of installation and testing practices.
• Ability to interpret high-level design specifications.
Desirable
• Experienced at production of high-level scheme development plans including Signalling Arrangement Plans, Scheme Plans, Bonding Plans and Control Tables.
• Experienced in production of high-level design specifications.
• Ability to work with and understand different signalling principles.
• Experienced at independent checking of interlocking and trackside designs.
• Ability to assist in on-site testing.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Tertiary Qualified in Engineering or related discipline, or relevant experience.
• Candidates should ideally hold a relevant IRSE license, or can demonstrate the competencies to gain one.
